Ken is currently a principle at Autonomous Earthmoving Systems and was formerly the Automation and Enterprise Solutions Engineering Fellow, within Caterpillar’s Innovation and Technology Division. Ken worked at Caterpillar for 37 years and was a key contributor to Cat Grade Control product line and was integral to the research work on Caterpillar’s Autonomous and Semi-Autonomous Mining Systems including Autonomous Haulage System, Semi Autonomous Tractor, Semi Autonomous LHD, and the Autonomous Blast Hole Drill. Ken was also a member of the DARPA Grand Challenge Red Team (2005). Ken has 52 patents related to machine automation. Mr. Stratton holds an Electrical Engineering degree from the Missouri University of Science & Technology.
